If there’s a Dunkin’ (a.k.a. Dunkin’ Donuts) somewhere I’m traveling, there’s a pretty good chance I’m going to find it and sample the local cuisine.

Got there around 5PM. One employee working with a line of about 10 people, including a number of children faced with the life-altering decision of choosing a donut (I fully understand, as I have the same difficulty) – plus the mobile orders coming in.

The employee was amazing – didn’t get frazzled, stayed professional and pleasant, and handled each customer’s order completely before moving on to the next.

And here is the amazing part: the donuts were FRESH! I had a strawberry-frosted, jelly filled and it was fantastic. If I wasn’t on a diet, I’d have gotten two.

Madrid, Spain

Another afternoon visit at a very busy location. At first, I was going to use the kiosk to order, but I watched three young dudes (speaking English) struggle with the technology. So, I held on to my patience and managed to habla some español to order a coffee and a donut.

The team of employees was hustling and bustling and quickly filling orders. Despite there being five people in front of me, I only waited a few minutes and was quickly served.

Got to tell you, once again: the donut was FRESH! I had a chocolate-filled donut and it tasted great—like they used genuine chocolate, not some imitation crap.

Another surprise when I stumbled across this DD on my way to a camel farm, sort of out of the way in a small shopping center. Donut varieties were interesting with some unique flavors. I got a pistachio flavored donut and a lavender flavored donut. Taste was great, donut could be a bit fresher but was late in the day. Coffee (had to get a small since it was after noon or I wouldn’t sleep) was fantastic. Great flavor as it should be.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Found this one in the lower level of Kingdom Centre tower in Riyadh. Probably one of the friendliest guys I met working behind the counter. Very pleasant and we had a nice conversation. Coffee was great – I had not had one in about 24 hours. Donuts were also good. I got two, waived my diet for the day. Went for the classic Boston Cream and an Apple filled. Store (and surrounding area) was amazingly clean.
